“Exploring shapes and colours. Real and unreal worlds.”

Born 1960, Stratford upon Avon, England, UK

The artist has received training in pure watercolour technics and composition. An alumnus of the Creative Visionary Program 2020 class, run by Nicholas Wilton’s school in California. Also as a student of the New English Art School.

Based in Worcestershire, UK, Jeremy’s art is intuitive, abstract and sometimes figurative.

Abstract works are mainly worked on in layers of acrylic paints, pencil, graphite and crayon. Cutting into the surface, sanding back in parts, adding collage and mediums. The final image can be intentionally imperfect to achieve an emotional reaction in the artist and offer the viewer an alternative to the often bland manufactured world that surrounds us.

Figurative works are Oil or Watercolour Landscapes. These works, derived from recognisable forms and views, are treated with the artists twist to extract a quality and feeling that cannot often be achieved from a simple photograph.
