What personal information do I collect from the people that visit my website?

When ordering on my site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, credit card information or other details to help you with your experience.

When do I collect information?

I collect information from you when you register on my site, place an order, subscribe to a newsletter, browse the website or enter information on my site using a contact form.

How do I use your information?
I may use the information that I collect from you in the following ways:

• To personalise your experience and to allow me to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested.

• To improve my website in order to better serve you.

• To allow me to better service you in responding to your customer service requests.

• To quickly process your transactions.

• To send periodic emails regarding your order or other products and services.

• To follow up with them after correspondence (live chat, email or phone inquiries)

My website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to my site as safe as possible.

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

I implement a variety of security measures when a user places an order to maintain the safety of your personal information. All transactions are processed through a gateway provider (PayPal) and are not stored or processed on my servers. 

How long do I keep your information

Customer purchase records are kept for a minimum of 6 years to comply with legal requirements.

What rights do you have over your data

If you have an account on this site you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided me with. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Nonetheless, I seek to protect the integrity of my site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

Squarespace

Squarespace Analytics is the reporting platform that gives me insight into how my website is performing and Squarespace Analytics cookies to help me understand how visitors use the website. This website collects personal data to power my site analytics, including:

• Information about your browser, network, and device

• Web pages you visited prior to coming to this website

• Your IP address

This information may also include details about your use of this website, including:

• Clicks

• Internal links

• Pages visited

• Scrolling

• Searches

• Timestamps

Mailchimp / Intuit

I collect your email address when you opt in to my email list. This data is linked to my email and then manually added to my MailChimp / Intuit account. I use this information to let you know when new artworks are added to the gallery or shop, to send you latest blog posts and to inform you of exhibitions or events that I think may interest you. You can unsubscribe from my emails at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of the email.

Your information will be destroyed immediately after being uploaded to MailChimp / Intuit

Privacy

Once this privacy policy is created, I will add a link to it on my home page and in the form submission message when you subscribe to my mailing list.

My Privacy Policy link includes the word ‘Privacy’ and can easily be found on the page specified above.

You will be notified of any Privacy Policy changes on my Privacy Policy Page

You can change or review your personal information by emailing me at jmscholes@sky.com or using the update option at the bottom of every email.

I collect your email address in order to:

• Send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions

• Process orders and to send information and updates pertaining to orders.

• Market to my mailing list or continue to send emails to my clients after the original transaction has occurred.

I agree to the following:
